Removing and installing wiper blade
Removing and installing wiper blade
NOTICE
Risk of damage to rear window.
– Prevent the wiper arm folding back unexpectedly.
NOTICE
Risk of damage to the wiper blade.
– To lift wiper blade off rear window, touch it only in area in which wiper blade is attached to wiper.
NOTICE
Risk of damage to wiper arm and wiper blade.
– Avoid bending wiper arm and wiper blade.
Removing
– Lift wiper arm off rear window.
– Swivel wiper blade -1- in direction of -arrow A- out of wiper arm.
– Release retaining clip -2-.
– Pull wiper blade -1- in direction of -arrow B- out of wiper arm.
Installing
Install in reverse order of removal.

Special tools and workshop equipment required
♦ puller -T10369/5-
Removing
– Press together cap -2- of wiper arm -1- in direction of -arrow A-.
– Fold up cap -2- in direction of -arrow B-, and remove it.
– Loosen nut -3- a few turns.
– Mount puller -T10369/5- -A- on wiper arm -2-.
– Position thrust piece -4- on wiper motor shaft.
– Turn spindle -1- clockwise until wiper arm -2- is pulled off.
– Remove puller -A- from wiper arm -2-.
– Unscrew nut -3-.
– Remove wiper arm -2-.
Installing
Install in the reverse order of removal, observing the following:
– → Rep. gr.92; Adjust wiper arm.

Procedure
– Loosen wiper arm → Rep. gr.92; Removing and installing wiper arm.
Important
● Distance -a- between end of wiper blade and bottom edge of rear window must be 31 +/-5 mm.
– Adjust end position of wiper blade by moving wiper arm -1-.
– Tighten nut for wiper arm -1-.
– Switch on ignition.
– Operate rear wiper and allow wiper arm to move to end position.
– Check setting of wiper arm.

Removing and installing rear window wiper motor [V12]
Rear window wiper motor -V12- will henceforth be referred to as “motor”.
Removing
– Remove wiper arm → Rep. gr.92; Removing and installing wiper arm.
– Remove lower rear lid trim → General body repairs, interior; Rep. gr.70; Luggage compartment trims; Removing and installing lower rear lid trim.
– Disconnect electrical connector -3-.
– Unscrew bolts -2-.
– Remove motor -1-.
Installing
Install in the reverse order of removal, observing the following:
– Moisten inside of seal in rear window with lubricant → Electronic parts catalogue (ETKA).
– Make sure that seal -1- is seated securely. Mark -arrow- on seal must align with mark on rear window.
– → Rep. gr.92; Adjust wiper arm.
