– Heat up decorative film using hot air blower -V.A.G 1416- → General information - body; Rep. gr.52; Self-adhesive components; Specifications for self-adhesive components.
– Pull off decorative film at sharp angle.
Installing
Important
● Decorative film must always be renewed once detached.
● Decorative film must be attached dry.
– Remove adhesive residue and clean bonding surfaces → General information - body; Rep. gr.52; Self-adhesive components; Specifications for self-adhesive components.
– Align decorative film -1- on C-pillar -2- evenly spaced from edges -arrows A-.
– Remove lower section of protective film -3- on backside of decorative film -1-.
– Press lower section of protective film -1- onto side panel -arrow C-.
– Fold down decorative film -2- as far as section already affixed to C-Pillar -3-.
– Pull protective film of bonding side -1- at a sharp angle off decorative film -2- -arrow B-.
– Put decorative film -2- without creases onto side panel -arrow C- starting at bottom and proceeding upwards.
– Firmly apply decorative film with a scraper centrally moving from bottom upwards -arrow A-.
– Firmly apply decorative film incrementally and evenly with scraper moving from bottom -arrow B- upwards -arrows C- and -arrows D- up to outer edges.
– Pull protective film -2- off decorative film -1- -arrow E- at sharp angle -arrow F-.
